ABOUT OUR CLINIC

Military Ridge Veterinary Service, S.C. of Dodgeville, WI was founded in 2004 by Drs Johnson, Byers, and Robinson to accomodate for a growing need in the food animal sector of veterinary medicine within Iowa County, Wisconsin. Today, the clinic is a 3-doctor practice with two support staff members and a certified veterinary technician. Each doctor provides routine herd health visits, using ultrasound for pregnancy diagnosis, for our clients with beef and dairy cattle.

Dr. Kevin Johnson grew up in Luana, Iowa and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been a veterinarian in Dodgeville since 1997. Dr. Johnson focuses on creating and implementing comprehensive vaccination schedules, as well as genomics testing for our clients with cattle. He also tends to our equine clients with regular wellness exams, dental exams including floating teeth, and acupuncture.

Dr. Matt Byers grew up in Monticello, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been a veterinarian in Dodgeville since 1997. Not only does Dr. Byers visit dairy clients regularly for herd health checks, he has extensive knowledge regarding management of beef cattle. Throughout the year, Dr. Byers performs breeding soundness exams on beef bulls to help clients make informed management decisions.

Dr. Amy Robinson grew up in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin and graduated from her home state's School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a veterinarian in Dodgeville since 2001. Along with routine visits to dairy clients for herd health, Dr. Robinson consults with our small ruminant clients regarding husbandry topics that range from appropriate deworming strategies to breeding management. You will also find Dr. Robinson in our small animal clinic when you call to make an appointment for your dog or cat.
